[VIDEO] Thomas Anderson ’20 Talks About his Research in Paris and Upcoming Ph.D. at Yale

Thomas Anderson ’20, a Hamilton College alumnus who participated in the Hamilton in France program during the semester of fall 2018, shares his experience of conducting research in Paris and at Hamilton College, and talks about his plans of starting a Ph.D. in History of Science and Medicine at Yale University.

My favorite part of the internship at the Secours Populaire was the two weeks I spent at Rue Montcalm, theirfood pantry. In the morning I stocked shelves in the basement, where they keep meticuloustrack of every single food/toiletry item they have. [...] They provide lunch thereand everyone eats together in the kitchen, which was a really wholesome and uniquely Frenchexperience. In the afternoons they open for business, and I helped hand out a full shoppingcart’s worth of products to everyone who came through."
