[VIDEO] Interview: Annabelle Sadoff About The Hamilton Program In France

Annabelle Sadoff (Scripps ’19) tells us in a video about her experience with the Hamilton program in France. She majors in French and minors in Dance at Scripps College, and she is able to combine both of these interests at Hamilton in France (HiF).

"Au début, je me souviens, il était très difficile pour moi de communiquer avec les autres personnes dans la rue, lors d'événements sociaux ou avec ma mère d'accueil, mais tout a changé avec le temps ! J'aime avoir des conversations sur la politique, la religion, l'art ou d'autres sujets très intéressants tous les jours avec ma mère d'accueil pendant le dîner (apparemment, c'est une chose très française à faire)."

My favorite part of the internship at the Secours Populaire was the two weeks I spent at Rue Montcalm, theirfood pantry. In the morning I stocked shelves in the basement, where they keep meticuloustrack of every single food/toiletry item they have. [...] They provide lunch thereand everyone eats together in the kitchen, which was a really wholesome and uniquely Frenchexperience. In the afternoons they open for business, and I helped hand out a full shoppingcart’s worth of products to everyone who came through."
