[VIDEO] Rosa’s First Month

During their first month, Hamilton in France students adapt to the French culture and university system. Rosa Carter ’21, a student at Hamilton College, describes what her first month in France was like.

My favorite part of the internship at the Secours Populaire was the two weeks I spent at Rue Montcalm, theirfood pantry. In the morning I stocked shelves in the basement, where they keep meticuloustrack of every single food/toiletry item they have. [...] They provide lunch thereand everyone eats together in the kitchen, which was a really wholesome and uniquely Frenchexperience. In the afternoons they open for business, and I helped hand out a full shoppingcart’s worth of products to everyone who came through."
