Orientation Week

Welcome to the group of students who came to study in Paris for the spring semester! Orientation week started with a few meetings and classes, and several university tours. It is a little cold outside now, but it is warm and cozy inside the Parisian crêperies…

During orientation, students visit the universities where they will be taking classes, such as the Sorbonne-Nouvelle university.

My favorite part of the internship at the Secours Populaire was the two weeks I spent at Rue Montcalm, theirfood pantry. In the morning I stocked shelves in the basement, where they keep meticuloustrack of every single food/toiletry item they have. [...] They provide lunch thereand everyone eats together in the kitchen, which was a really wholesome and uniquely Frenchexperience. In the afternoons they open for business, and I helped hand out a full shoppingcart’s worth of products to everyone who came through."
